Brewing Suggestions for Ice Coffee
At Stickboy Coffee, our coffee is always freshly ground and roasted giving you the most bang for your buck! When brewing our coffee you must take a few things into consideration:
Brewing Suggestions
Taste: Making coffee is like following a recipe: the correct proportion of ingredients is vital and we suggest using 2 tablespoons of ground coffee (10 grams) for approximately 6 ounces of fresh water.
For a stronger brew, add more freshly ground coffee.
Temperature: Coffee should brew at 200 degrees F for 4-6 minutes.
Experiment: Start out with just one scoop of your favorite Stickboy Coffee if you would like for every four cups you brew. Too weak? Too strong? Just right? Experiment!!
Remember: Coffee is best if served immediately after it being freshly brewed, within 20 minutes is preferred.
Grind Your Coffee Just Before Brewing: Grinding before brewing ensures the freshest coffee by releasing the flavors and aromas inside the coffee beans so they can be savored for you to enjoy! We recommend the purchasing of whole beans. The shorter the brewing process is we recommend a finer grind. The amount of time the coffee and water spend together affects the flavor in your cup.
Water: If the water tastes bad so will your coffee. We recommend using fresh, cold water to bring out the fresh coffee flavor.
Brew Only What You Plan to Drink: Freshly-roasted and freshly-brewed coffee gives off such an amazing smell for you to enjoy but it should never sit around and it should be enjoyed as soon as possible.
Clean your coffee maker on a regular basis.
Brewing Suggestions for Ice Coffee
We recommend our Summer Roast! (Available May 4th until September 7th)
Pour the coffee over ice and let it sit for a minute or two.
Another way to enjoy iced coffee is to pour it into your Stickboy Coffee travel mug (don’t forget to put the top on it) and placing it in the refrigerator to enjoy later in the day! This is the preferred method of our founder Tom Hall the Stickboy behind Stickboy Coffee.
